We're excited to announce that we'll be ramping up our blog in the next few months. Our goal is to let readers know a little bit about Casco's Culture, Clients, and Employees, and the Architecture and Engineering Industry as a whole! Subscribe to our blog to see what we have to say!
Meet the people who will be posting on the blog regularly:
Dan Cutter
President, Professional Engineer
I graduated with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1989. I've been a structural engineer, a project manager, a site development coordinator, and a manager of multiple engineering and architectural departments. I've been a PE since 1993 and the President of CASCO since 2014. I'm a husband, a father of two and love the outdoors. Each day is an opportunity to learn something new!
Patty Ernst
Director Marketing & Business Development
So what does 1982 and 2016 have in common? Me, CASCO, interesting projects, great clients, compelling staff, and continuous learning, growing & mentoring. As the longest surviving female at CASCO (tenure not age!) I am no stranger to change. I embrace it, love it, look for it ... but not just for the sake of change ... the results have to make a positive difference. That's why I am excited to be working with this bright young group of bloggers. They will bring you fresh perspectives on CASCO and our industry as a whole.
Haris Sinanovic
Electrical Engineer
I graduated with B.S., E.E. from the University of Missouri St. Louis and Washington University joint engineering program. From cashier, cabinet maker, machine operator, bar and coffee shop owner to electrical engineer, the path got me here. In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities.
Barb Vandiver
Administrative Assistant
I'm a self-employed carpenter's daughter who, after working in various fields throughout my career, have always landed back in the construction field of some sort. I'm a wife, mother and grandmother who always wants to learn new things & explore the world.
Billy Thrasher
Structural Drafter
A degree from ITT Technical Institute got me into the Architectural and Engineering field. Just recently, I graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communication, and am currently enrolled in the MFA Writing program at Lindenwood University. Two adult and four young children keep me active, and sharpen my skills ordering food at the drive-thru.
Julie Schell
Architectural Designer
I'm a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I spend my free time making things (especially with a laser cutter!), reading books, and watching more TV than I should.
Selita Paea
Administrative Assistant
I'm a vegetarian from Portland, Oregon who enjoys running, napping, and eating food that wasn't made in a factory. I prefer the company of my dog over most humans but believe that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
Olivia Hitchell
Administrative Assistant
I'm a Webster University graduate. I spend my days working at CASCO, and my nights traveling through time, catching criminals, and eating Chinese food.
Erin Chapman
Architectural Designer
I might have been a historian if it paid (at all), but chose architecture for the fusion of art and function. I graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where I fell in love with Chicago, historical buildings, and food.
Hunter Schlemer
Architectural Designer
I am a recent graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I spent my last year of architecture studying overseas in Barcelona, Spain. I like to spend my liberty time with my girlfriend and the boys doing family things and relaxing. I also like working on cars, riding dirtbikes and ATVs, and being the outdoorsman. I also have a small sense in the men's classy look of fashion.
