CASCO’s 2015 Year in Review – What Was New in 2015

The Holiday Season is a time of year to be thankful. In particular, it is a time to thank all of CASCO’s staff for their efforts, teamwork and dedication. I appreciate their commitment to maintaining our tradition of superior service to our Clients, getting the job right and doing what it takes to be complete and on-time. A company can only reach as high as its employees are willing to strive, and I am proud of the accomplishments we’ve achieved as a team this year.

The Season is also a great time to be thankful for our Clients. Their loyalty to CASCO and their partnership in building successful programs makes our success possible. We are fortunate to work with so many great companies and we are very grateful for their business.

2015 was a year of change and growth for CASCO. Responding to our diverse Client base, the Architectural Department was reorganized into four Studios, each specialized for delivering a specific project type ranging from the largest of ground up and renovation projects to the quickest tenant finish / interior only work.

CASCO also hired a creative leader with significant luxury retail, restaurant and high end Design experience, allowing us to enter new markets, and opening the door to some major unique projects. We will expand this division in 2016. We also started our first senior Assisted Living centers this year, another new market for us, and added a couple of local St. Louis based clients. We will be expanding our efforts and work in all of these areas going forward.

A segment of public work is an important part of a design company’s overall portfolio. We’ve started work with the State of Missouri for the first time, and look forward to growing this part of our business in the future.

Of course, our long term Clients remain the core of our business, and there too were important developments. We obtained the Prototype Architect role for a major national retailer who has already been a valued Client of ours for many years. We increased our work volume with Urgent Care centers, a market we developed over the last couple of years. Our work in Child Care and Early Learning centers expanded significantly as well.

We’ve invested in some additional technology this year, speeding and automating some our calculations with MathCAD, adding dual monitor configurations to all CAD workstations to add efficiency, and purchasing some new equipment to bring a virtual presence photographic survey capability to our clients.

We have instituted CASCO’s EDG Committee to facilitate and encourage staff throughout the company to contribute their ideas and concepts in spurring innovation in our work and in constantly improving CASCO.

2015 was a year of change for CASCO, and the truth is we’re just getting started with planned improvements and growth. 2016 will see more changes and initiatives as we position ourselves for a changing market. We are embarking on new growth paths while we maintain, and even grow, our traditional rollout and retail work.

One thing that won’t change, however, is our focus on service and our dedication to the success of each of our Clients. CASCO is a firm with a long, rich history…. a history based on building relationships and doing what’s right for the Client…. that will always remain our focus!
